Glen Ellen Restaurants

The Fig Cafe

Updated 05/01/2014

Fodor's Review

Pale sage walls, a sloping ceiling, and casual but warm service set a sunny mood in this little bistro. The compact menu focuses on California and French comfort food—pot roast and duck confit, for instance, as well as thin-crust pizza. Steamed mussels are served with terrific crispy fries, which also accompany the sirloin burger. Weekend brunch brings out locals and tourists for French toast, pizza with applewood-smoked bacon and poached eggs, corned-beef hash, and

other delights. The unusual no-corkage-fee policy makes this a great place to drink the wine you discovered down the road.

Not my favorite

Not my favorite-most items tasted like they were bought, not house made...

Great food and fun!

We loved this place - the food is fresh and imaginative. We appreciated the no corkage fee although we enjoyed the wines that they served. I highly recommend this place!

Great for locals and tourists alike!

This place is great for several reasons; great food, nice atmosphere, an amazing cheese fflight and NO CORKAGE FEE! This means that you can enjoy the wine you just discovered with your meal for no additional cost. A favorite with the locals who work in the wine business, as you might imagine.
