One of the best-known Sonoma County wineries sits on a sprawling estate in a bowl with 360-degree sun exposure, the benefits of which are explored on popular tram tours that depart several times daily. Guides explain Benziger's biodynamic farming practices and give you a glimpse of the extensive cave system. The regular tram tour costs $20; another tour costing $40 concludes with a seated tasting. Noted for its Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, and Sauvignon

Blanc wines, the winery is a beautiful spot for a picnic. Reserve a seat on the tram tour through the winery's website or arrive early in the day on summer weekends and during harvest season.

Loved the tram tour

I have to say that this was our favorite wine tour. The setting is gorgeous and the staff very courteous and pleasant. My husband loved their wine.

Beauty & Bounty!

Benzinger was one of our favorite winery tours. The vineyard is lovely & the loyal staff clearly communicate the family values on which the business operates. The grounds are beautifuly set up to encourage lingering in a pastoral setting. The new cave was impressive as was everything else about our tour. Olive oil is also produced and sold on site. We highly recommend a visit!
