Fodor's Review

On a knoll shaded by ancient oak trees, this French-owned maker of sparkling wines claims one of Yountville's prime pieces of real estate. Chandon is best known for bubblies, but the still wines—Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier, and Pinot Noir—are also worth a try. Tours of the production facility, which focus on how the winemakers adapt traditional champagne-making methods to 21st-century wine science and technology, end with a seated tasting. For the

complete experience, order hors d'oeuvres to accompany the wines in the tasting room.
