The flavors of Portugal dazzle diners at this handsome restaurant run by Healdsburg native Lucia Azevedo Fincher. You can go the tapas-only route—the fried Sonoma goat cheese and the crunchy pig's-ear-and-parsley salad are two standouts—or order a few small plates before moving on to a full entrée. A fine accompaniment either way is caldo verde, a potato-thickened beef consommé with thinly sliced collard greens and linguiça sausage. Among the noteworthy mains
is feijoada completa, the Brazilian national dish, a thick mass of stewed beef, pork, smoked sausage, and black beans. The Portuguese variation on paella is also a winner. The restaurant is in back of the building that houses La Crema's tasting room.
