At the foot of the Mayacamas Mountains stretch the grounds of Chateau St. Jean, an old-country estate. After a spin around the gardens, whose layout harmonizes with the sprawling, Mediterranean-style villa, step inside for a tasting of Chardonnay, Fumé Blanc, and Pinot Gris whites, along with reds that include Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah. Reservations are recommended, but walk-ins are welcome.
