Fodor's Review

Wine and food seminars are a big draw at Etude, but the most seductive part of a visit here is tasting the suave Pinot Noirs. Though the handsome, modern winery is in Napa County, its flagship Carneros Estate Pinot Noir comes from grapes grown in the Sonoma portion of Los Carneros, as does the rarer Heirloom Carneros Pinot Noir. Both are sophisticated wines whose smooth tannins linger on the palate. These or other Pinots—along with Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon,

and other wine—are paired with small bites of food at informative tasting seminars ($35). Don't leave without stopping to survey the landscape. You're apt to see (or hear) geese, hawks, egrets, and other wildlife.
