St. Clement Vineyards
St. Clement Vineyards Review
A winery steeped in history, St. Clement is blessed with such splendid views that you might drift into reverie even before tasting the signature Bordeaux-style blend, Oroppas. (That's Sapporo spelled backward—the famous Japanese brewery once owned this place.) The tasting room is inside the 1878 Rosenbaum House, named for the wealthy merchant who built it on land purchased from his neighbor, the wine-maker Charles Krug. You can also sip wine at café tables on the front porch while taking in views of nearby vineyards and beyond them Howell Mountain. Wines of note include three single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignons made from grapes grown on Mt. Veeder and Howell and Diamond mountains.
