Boon Fly Café

Boon Fly Café Review

Part of the Carneros Inn west of downtown Napa, this small spot melds rural charm with industrial chic. Outside, swings occupy the porch of a modern red barn; inside, things get sleek with high ceilings and galvanized-steel tabletops. The menu of three squares a day updates American classics, with such dishes as Dungeness crab cakes with a citrus salad, roasted pork chop with sweet potatoes, and chicken and waffles. The flatbread topped with bacon, Point Reyes blue cheese, and portobello mushrooms is a local favorite. If there's a wait for a table, never fear: belly up to the bar, where you'll find a good selection of wines by the glass. Reservations are a good idea at dinner. One of the rare Wine Country restaurants open all day, Boon Fly makes a convenient morning or midday stop.
