Korbel Champagne Cellars
Korbel Champagne Cellars Review
The three brothers Korbel (Joseph, Francis, and Anton) planted Pinot Noir grapes in the Russian River Valley in the 1870s, pioneering efforts that are duly noted on 50-minute tours of the well-known brand's Guerneville facility. Tours include a clear explanation of the méthode champenoise used to make the company's sparkling wines, a walk through ivy-covered 19th-century buildings, and tastings of Korbel's reasonably priced bubblies and still wines. You can also taste without touring. If you have the time, take a spin through the rose garden, home to more than 250 varieties.
