The Barlow Review
On the site of a former apple cannery, this cluster of buildings celebrates Sonoma County's "maker" culture with an inspired combination production space and marketplace. The complex contains breweries and wine-making facilities, along with areas where people create or sell crafts, large-scale artworks, and artisanal food, herbs, and beverages. There's even a studio where artists using traditional methods are creating the world’s largest thangka (Tibetan painting). Only club members can visit the anchor wine tenant, Kosta Browne, but La Follette (sublimely aromatic pinot noirs and velvety chardonnays) and other small producers have tasting rooms open to the public. Warped Brewing Company and Woodfour Brewing Company make and sell ales on-site, and you can have a nip of gin at Spirit Works Distillery.
