Cottage Grove Inn Review

A long driveway lined with freestanding cottages, each shaded by elm trees and with rocking chairs on the porch, looks a bit like Main Street, USA, but inside the skylighted buildings are all the perks necessary for a romantic weekend getaway. There are overstuffed chairs in front of wood-burning fireplaces, flat-screen TVs, and extra-deep two-person whirlpool tubs. Each of the rooms has its own variation on the comfy-rustic look, with telltale names like "Fly Fishing Cottage" and "Provence." Spas and restaurants are within walking distance. Rates include afternoon wine and cheese.

    Pricey But Perfect

    Very roomy cottage, with romantic atmosphere. Beautiful skylights, deep whirlpool tub for two, excellent sound system, tasteful furnishings. Attentive service, with lovely Continental breakfast, and wine and cheese happy hour.
