Artesa Vineyards & Winery

Artesa Vineyards & Winery Review

With its modern, minimalist architecture blending harmoniously into a Carneros hilltop, Artesa is a far cry from the region's many faux-French châteaus and Italian-style villas. It's surrounded by elegant outdoor sculptures and fountains. The winemaker, Mark Beringer—a great-great-grandson of the 19th-century Napa wine-making pioneer Jacob Beringer—focuses on Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, but also produces Cabernet Sauvignon and other limited-release wines such as Albariño and Tempranillo. Call ahead to reserve a spot on a wine-and-cheese pairing ($60), a wine-and-chocolate pairing ($45), and a tapas-and-wine tasting ($60).
