Fodor's Review

Brad Farmerie, also the executive chef at New York City's Public restaurant, tickles diners' palates with earthy-yet-lofty preparations, served inside an iconic downtown building that was closed for decades, shrouded in murder and mystery. There's no mystery, though, to the winning approach of Farmerie and chef de cuisine Jonnatan Leiva. Appetizers such as the truffled portobello mushroom mousse with whiskey jelly, perhaps accompanied by a mod cocktail from the first-floor Fagiani's Bar, set the mood for entrées that might include wild king salmon served with shaved fennel and a cucumber emulsion. Even the brussels sprouts, deep-fried and served with a housemade chili-caramel sauce, delight. In good weather head up to the rooftop deck for its river views.
