Old Fisherman's Grotto

Old Fisherman's Grotto Review

Otters and seals frolic in the water just below this family-run restaurant midway down Fisherman's Wharf that serves seafood, steak, and pasta. The founder's son and current owner, Chris Shake, has updated the decor while retaining the classic nautical style that prevailed when the Grotto opened in 1950. Famed for its creamy clam chowder, the restaurant serves a huge range of dishes, from seafood paella and sand dabs to filet mignon and teriyaki chicken. Reserve a windowside table for the best views.
