This boutique hotel on Cannery Row, under the same management as the Hotel Pacific and the Monterey Bay Inn, has beach access and a rooftop garden that overlooks the water. Designed with traditional American style, spacious rooms have sitting areas, hardwood floors, fireplaces, and down comforters, among other pleasures. This is an adults-only property. Pros: Close to aquarium, steps from the beach, friendly staff. Cons: Throngs of visitors outside, can be noisy.
