Fodor's Review:
A favorite lair of families and business travelers, this 6-acre Best Western near Seacliff State Beach is more resort than motel. Six two-story lodge buildings encircle a large pool and lush gardens with a koi pond and waterfall -- ask for a room in a building away from the busy restaurant and bar, which can get noisy at night. The decent-size rooms, totally redecorated in 2006, sport a fresh -- if somewhat generic -- contemporary look. Pros: Walking distance from the beach, family-friendly, includes full breakfast. Cons: Close to the freeway, occasional nighttime bar noise.
