High on a hill overlooking the Pacific, this place has superb views. Accommodations include king rooms with fireplaces, suites with personal Jacuzzis, and full town houses with all the perks. The excellent prix-fixe menus at the inn's Pacific's Edge restaurant ($$$$; jackets recommended) blend French and California cuisine; the sommelier helps choose the perfect wines. Pros: Killer views, romantic getaway, great food. Cons: Thin walls, must drive to Carmel, some rooms need updating.
