Fodor's Expert Review Restaurant 1833
Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.
Inside the two-story Stokes Adobe, built in 1833, this popular restaurant and bar showcases the region's colorful history and local bounty. Each of the seven dining rooms honors an era and characters from the adobe's past, which includes an early stint as an apothecary. Sit in a leather booth on the Founder's Balcony for a bird's-eye view of the bustling bar scene below, or outdoors by the courtyard fire pits near giant oak, redwood, palm, and magnolia trees. Menu stars include Korean barbecue tritip and house-made applewood-smoked salmon. The extensive wine selection will appeal to connoisseurs.
