Students in L.A.
Most museums and other major attractions have student discounts as do many movie theaters. Several theaters, including the Pasadena Playhouse and Geffen, offer discounted student rush tickets on the day of performance.
The city's two major universities, UCLA and USC, both have active campus scenes, and both have galleries, performances, and sports events open to the public. UCLA students hang out in adjacent Westwood Village and all over the upscale Westside. USC has a lovely campus, but the surrounding neighborhood can be dicey.
