Fodor's Review

Although the variety of shows at the Shrine Auditorium (and adjacent Expo Hall) lean toward the eclectic—anything from musical concerts to cheerleading competitions take place here—this historical venue is worth going to, should an event interest you. Opened in 1926, this venue has hosted just about every awards show that has been broadcast out of Los Angeles, including the Academy Awards, the Emmy Awards, and the Grammys, plus its Moorish Revival-style architecture

is a thing to marvel over.
