Fodor's Review

Catering to young and hip budget travelers, who crave style over space, this design-centric boutique property on lively Melrose Avenue is in the heart of Hollywood's best shopping and dining and contains Hollywood's dining hot-spot, Hart and the Hunter. The creators of L.A.'s newest brand of hotels have made the most of the small spaces, from the 150-square-foot lobby "minibar" to the deconstructed closets in guest rooms. With decor that is decidedly boho-chic without

the clutter, rooms feature reeded floor-to-ceiling windows, flea market finds, one-of-a-kind artwork, bundles of books, and flannel comforters atop blue velour beds. There are no phones in the rooms, yet Wi-Fi is free and the flat screen is framed on the walls. The Thai Thai massage room offers L.A.'s most affordable rub down.
