A family-run operation for more than 40 years, the Beverly Laurel stands out for its low rates and central city location bordering West Hollywood. Touring bands and up-and-coming actors stay here on their way to the big time. The ground floor is home to Swingers coffee shop, which is popular with the actors, models, and musicians who also frequent the motel. Pros: legendary stepping stone for actors and musicians on their way to big-time, central city location, close to Farmers Market and numerous restaurants. Cons: Wi-Fi fee, small shaded pool, motel-size rooms.
