Fodor's Review

Colonial chic reigns in this three-story, 1930s grand Beverly Hills boutique hotel, where the look mixes French and Far East with gleaming antiques, textured wallpaper, and colorfully painted rooms. These dramatic visuals compensate for compact rooms and bathrooms. Take advantage of the pool and restaurant at the sister property, Mosaic hotel. Beverly Hills' golden triangle of shopping is within close walking distance. The hotel's ebony and blood-red Bar Noir inspires

Excellent locale, supportive staff

I travel for business and stay here regularly, and the staff are thoughtful and helpful. Interesting rooms, nice lounge, great location to get around all of L.A. Would suggest two changes: internet hook-up and powersources are not always next to each other and the desk chair needs upgrading; and the bathrooms are very small. Quality over-rides these small concerns, however.

All I want for Christmas...

We LOVED this place. It was part of a family Christmas present. Three nights here after four in San Diego. The parking is right next door. We had two rooms, although our son only stayed one night as he had to go back to Camp Pendleton (so they comped him the parking). I can't rave enough about the service. The concierge, Debbi, was terrific. The rooms are really romantic. We had one small room on the "red" floor--red/white/pink and orange, and

one of the "big" rooms on the third floor -- in grey, black, gold, feng shui (?) perfect, although the water pressure in our bathroom was slightly pathetic, The king size bed with wonderful linens made up for that. Complimentary wine in the evenings in the classy little bar off the lobby (which is a very "in" place!) made us feel like we were in a movie. This is going to be my hotel in LA from now on.

Great Hotel, Tiny Bathroom

A great little hotel in a great location. Continental breakfast in the morning was good. The shower in the bathroom was just a small as on a cruise ship. We would stay here again.

Hidden Treasure in LA

French Chinois theme hotel with different room types. I felt in love with this hotel after visiting their website (, and I spent the night here to celebrate my wedding anniversary in November 2001.
