The owners of Saladang, a standard Thai restaurant next door, concoct a more interesting menu here, going well beyond the usual satays and pad thai. It's a striking Thai-tech pavilion surrounded by outdoor tables and towering, ornamental pierced-steel panels that put this eatery in its own graciously hermetic world. For lunch or dinner, consider the spicy fish cakes or salmon with curry sauce. Or for a rarer treat, come for a Thai breakfast, with kao-tom-gui (rice soup with or without various meats and seafood) and joak (the Thai-style rice porridge), with sweet potato, taro, and pumpkin.
