Fodor's Review

Famed chef Thomas Keller has set-up his unforgettable bistro right in the center of swanky Beverly Hills. Grand and majestic, there is nothing about Bouchon that doesn't make you feel pampered. With little details that separate it from the pack, look for filtered Norwegian water served at every table, twig-shape baguettes made fresh in the kitchen, and an expansive wine list celebrating California and French wines. It's a foodie scene that welcomes L.A.'s high-profile

chefs, celebrities, and locals. Start with its classic onion soup that arrives with a bubbling lid of cheese, or the salmon rillettes, which are big enough to share. For dinner, there's a traditional steak and frites, roasted chicken, steamed Maine mussels, and a delicious grilled croque madame. For a sweet bite, order an espresso and the profiteroles or the bite-size brownies served with homemade vanilla ice cream. Special menus come with a tour of the multimillion-dollar kitchen.
