The Royce Review
Slightly off the well-beaten path, the Langham Hotel is nestled in one of Pasadena's most prestigious neighborhoods. Arriving here, you'll feel enveloped in California-style luxury. The same can be said for its new upscale restaurant The Royce, a light, bright, and not nearly as formal restaurant as it once was—but still decidedly fresh, seasonal, and French. The innovative menu is created by David Féau and the experience is thoughtful dining, heavy on distinct tastes that are best enjoyed slowly and leisurely and with a glass of wine selected by the savvy sommeliers. The menu is divided into easy-to-read catergories: cold and warm; hot and raw; fish and shellfish; meat and poultry. A great option is the two five-course tasting menus that allow for a sampling of the entire menu.
