Cleo Review

Tucked away in the Redbury Hotel, this hip restaurant buzzes with energy in both its ambience and its fresh approach to Mediterranean cuisine. Start with a trio of dips including hummus with tahini, thick yogurt with feta, and a muhammara (walnut garlic spread) that comes with fresh-from-the-oven flatbread. Chicken and lamb kebabs are an ideal segue into the main courses, as are the perfectly roasted lamb shank or the moussakah made with eggplant, beef ragù, and feta and sprinkled with pine nuts. Get your veggie allowance with the Brussels sprouts made with capers, parsley, and almonds, or mushrooms with hazelnuts and dates. The thoughtful cocktail menu, decent wine list, and enthusiastic staff make Cleo a great place to spend the evening—Hollywood style.
