Just off-the-beaten-path of Old Town Pasadena sits this quaint café that charms the hearts and tastebuds of locals with its seasonally driven menu of sandwiches, salads, fresh soups, and incredible baked goods. The café is owned by Christine Moore, who made a name for herself in the candy world as a creator of addicting sea salt caramels and oversize sugar marshmallows. She opened shop a few years ago to sell her sweets and ended up also creating a neighborhood hub for northeast Los Angeles. The café is nestled up against the sloping hills for a small-town feel (even though downtown LA is a few miles away). It's a terrific place to grab a coffee, a fresh berry pastry, or a light lunch before heading out for an afternoon of shopping.
