Father's Office

Fodor's Review:

With a facade distinguished only by a vintage neon sign, Father's Office is a congested, gentrified pub famous for hand-crafted beers and what is widely regarded as L.A.'s best burger. Topped with Gruyère and Maytag blue cheeses, arugula, caramelized onions, and applewood-smoked bacon compote, the "Office Burger" is a guilty pleasure worth waiting in line for (which is usually required). Other options include steak frites and Spanish tapas, with side orders of addictive sweet potato fries served in a miniature shopping cart with aïoli—don't even think of asking for ketchup, because FO enforces a strict no-substitutions policy. So popular is the Office Burger that chef-owner Sang Yoon has recently opened a second location in Culver City. Note: Because Father's Office is a bar, it's strictly 21 and over.
