El Patio Inn

Fodor's Review:

Behind a classic hacineda-style adobe and neon-lit facade, El Patio Inn is a throwback to 1960s-era roadside motels. Located within sight of Universal Studios, this budget basic stay has decent-sized bathrooms, some cable TV, and queen beds. Location and free parking are the reasons to stay; look for Hollywood hopefuls who often book for multiple nights. Pros: close to Universal Studios and a Metro line stop, Ventura Boulevard has an endless supply of restaurants, low rates. Cons: no pool, service matches the low rates, zero amenities.
