25 Degrees

Fodor's Review:

Named after the difference in temperature between a medium-rare and well-done burger, this upscale burger joint sits in one of Hollywood's hippest hotels. The action at 25 Degrees revolves around a counter constructed of rich oak instead of Formica, and cabernet is favored over cola. Order the #1 (caramelized onions, Gorgonzola and Crescenza cheeses, bacon, arugula, and Thousand Island) or create your own masterpiece from a selection of premium meats, artisanal cheeses, and house-made condiments. A long list of half-bottles makes wine pairings easy for solo diners. They're open 24 hours—and mercifully do offer other items, including a good fried egg sandwich, if you're not sure about burgers for breakfast.
