Hatfield's

Fodor's Review:

The true spirit of California cuisine is celebrated in this spare but elegant dining room with a wraparound patio. Chef Quinn Hatfield turns out market-driven dishes like Arctic char in a leek froth, and date- and mint-crusted rack of lamb following a whimsical, not-to-be-missed California-style croque madame (hamachi and proscuitto sandwiched between buttery brioche toast, topped with a sunny-side-up quail egg). Sweet tooths are sated by Quinn's wife, Karen, whose creations include chocolate-peanut butter truffle cake or sugar- and spice-dusted beignets paired with a frothy shot of milkshake.
