Operating since 1946, this cavernous restaurant isn't right on the water, but the Pacific is just across the street—ask for a table by the window for an ocean view. Low ceilings, dim lighting, well-spaced tables, and attentive service create a close-knit mood. There are plenty of lobster dishes, but other options from the daily-changing menu include paella, sesame-crusted big eye tuna, grilled Channel Island swordfish with pineapple salsa, wild salmon in pinot noir-cherry sauce, and prime steaks. The oyster bar offers a dizzying selection.

Forget Gladstone's if you want a view by the beach AND good seafood, this is the place. Lovely ambience, you'll be able to hear your tablemates & if you are an oyster lover, then sit at the bar & order oysters from all over the world... the subtle differences in taste are wonderful...
