Fodor's Review

Unlike your corner lox-and-bagel joint, this haute deli on the fifth floor of Barneys department store has an appropriately runway-ready aesthetic: limestone floors, mahogany furniture, and a wall of windows. On the outdoor terrace, at tables shaded by large umbrellas, you can savor flawless smoked salmon, sturgeon, and whitefish flown in fresh from New York. The deli closes at 6 pm.

Stick To The Smoked Fish

This is a beautiful setting. One can even see top celebrities and their kids here. The egg cream is authentic and priced like the good old days. But stay away from their dishes that have too many ingredients, some don't marry well. And Barney's is a fun store.

More than just a break from shopping

Sunshine, fresh and interesting food, very reasonable prices, fast but not rushed service, great setting on balcony overlooking Beverly Hills and Hollywood. An ideal holiday lunch spot.

New York with a Hollywood Twist

Nova salmon that melts like butter brings you back to the NY original, but the location -- outdoor cafe on top of Barney's (the store) and the crowd (sunglasses and loads of Evian) let you know that you are away from home.
