Fodor's Review:

You can't miss the Georgian: the art deco exterior is aqua, with ornate bronze grillwork and a charming oceanfront veranda. Built in 1933, the hotel retains its retro character with cream-color walls, vintage tiles, marble floors accented with sea-foam green and silver blue, and individually styled rooms with cherrywood furnishings and gold and silver accents. Popular with visiting Europeans, the hotel's lobby echoes with foreign languages. Sit on the veranda to best appreciate the beach, ocean, and Santa Monica views or to enjoy breakfast or lunch.

The location is great, however, service is the worst. From waitresses outside on the terrace who don't know how to serve or are so slow because they really don't care to the front desk, staffed entirely by mexicans, to the slow and unstable elevators, this hotel needs a new GM. it is run now by a management company which obviously hires people who have no interest in hospitality and who would be better off at Mc Donald's. We planned on staying for a week and moved out after two days of bad service, waiting for 45 minutes on the terrace for bad food and waiting another 30 minutes to be able to pay. The hotel could be great but not with this kind of personnel.
