Fodor's Review:

The balconies, patios, and harbor-view rooms take full advantage of the hotel's waterfront position. Cruises and charters are easily accessible from nearby slips; bike and in-line skate rentals are nearby, too. A clubby bar overlooks the Marina and is popular with local boatmen. The pool is small; more for a dip than swim. Proximity to LAX and low rates makes this hotel popular with budget travelers. New owners are working on a complete makeover pending city approvals. Pros: free parking and Wi-Fi, generous-size rooms, some with great Marina views. Cons: pending updates means tired decor, check for ongoing construction.
