Westside Tavern

Westside Tavern Review

It's not all that typical for a restaurant in a mall to make a culinary splash, but this modern-day gastropub has created a casual, lively, and engaging space without cutting corners on well-executed food. A large comfy bar is your first stop; grab a white peach-and-basil gimlet before being escorted to your dinner table. Then start with the ceviche of the day or maybe a platter of fried green beans. If you are craving a sandwich, order the lamb French dip, a BLT with a soft fried egg, or an open-faced portabella melt. Main entrées include Niman Ranch flat-iron steak and fried halibut-and-chips. For a sweet finish, try the cinnamon sugar donuts that arrive with raspberry and chocolate dipping sauces.
