Fodor's Review:

Trendsetting chef Kazuto Matsusaka (his resume includes Spago, Chinois on Main, and Buddha Bar in Paris) has opened this unpretentious restaurant in Culver City. Here he specializes in a Pacific Rim cuisine that's refreshingly grounded and restrained. His alluring menu offers crispy fried oysters wrapped in lettuce with a tartar sauce, a pastrylike "pizza" layered with wasabi mayo and ahi tuna, grilled hangar steak, delicate miso-glazed black cod, and green-tea cheesecake. The expansive space is casual and fun (if a bit noisy), fueling the revitalization of this sleepy Westside community.

Eat Here if You Like Live Worms in Your Food!

Posted by Sue from L.A. on 9/11/06

After eating part of an appetizer, we discovered a live, crawling worm in our appetizer. Neither the host nor the waitress seemed to care. No one was bothered that we were disgusted or that my daughter was sobbing hysterically. No one even noticed when we got up and left.
