Fodor's Review:

Trendsetting chef Kazuto Matsusaka (his résume includes Spago, Chinois on Main, and Buddha Bar in Paris) has opened this unpretentious restaurant in Culver City. Here he specializes in a Pacific Rim cuisine that's refreshingly grounded and restrained. His alluring menu offers crispy fried oysters wrapped in lettuce with a tartar sauce, a pastrylike "pizza" layered with wasabi mayo and ahi tuna, grilled hangar steak, delicate miso-glazed black cod, and lilikoi (passion fruit) cheesecake. The expansive space is casual and fun (if a bit noisy), fueling the revitalization of this sleepy Westside community.
