Nope—it's the handiwork of artist George Kenny Scharf as part of this museum's dedication to all forms of Californian art, architecture, and design from 1850 to the present. The regularly changing exhibits are focused and thoughtfully presented; you might find anything from early California landscapes to contemporary works on car culture.
