Wayfarers Chapel

Fodor's Review:

A look at this stunning, all-glass Swedenborgian church is practically guaranteed to fill you with awe. Built in 1949 by architect Lloyd Wright (son of Frank Lloyd Wright), it intentionally blends in with the trees and lush garden setting on the Palos Verdes Peninsula. The flower-filled garden includes a number of plants that are mentioned in the Bible. On a clear day you can see straight across the ocean to Catalina Island. Little wonder the church is a very popular wedding destination; you'll see tributes to this in the dedication bricks along the Walk of Honor.
