Museum of Latin American Art (MoLAA)

Fodor's Review:

After three years of massive renovation work, this museum—the only one of its kind on the West Coast devoted exclusively to contemporary art from Mexico and Central and South America—expanded its exhibit space to 55,000 square feet and added a sculpture garden, a new gift store, a film-screening room, a research library, and art lab for classes. The result is an elegant space with splashes of bold color that reflects the vibrant Latin American culture. Rotating exhibits of large canvas fine art and sculptures reflect a diverse range of emotions and statements. Name markers also provide information on each artist's country of origin. The museum gift store features carved masks, textiles, and other work by local and Latin American artists. Admission includes an informative audio tour.
