Viceroy

Fodor's Review:

Whimsy abounds at this stylized seaside escape—just look at the porcelain dogs as lamp bases and Spode china plates mounted on the walls. The compact rooms all have French balconies, and sexy mirrored walls. The mostly marble bathrooms have seated vanities and supremely refreshing aromatherapy products. Glamorous socializing takes place in the pool and cabana area amid all-white armchairs and divans. People-watch at the black-hued bar and lobby lounge. Whist, the hotel's attractive restaurant, presents a sumptuous Sunday brunch. Upper-floor, ocean-view rooms are brilliant at sunset. Pros: eye-catching design, lobby social scene, pedestrian-friendly area. Cons: super-pricey bar and dining, pool for dipping not laps.
