Blink and you'll miss this place, whose reputation far exceeds its size (it may be the tiniest place to have ever won a James Beard award). It's known for carne asada, carnitas, and cochinita pibil (Yucatán-style roasted pork) tacos and burritos. This is a fast-food restaurant in the finest tradition—independent, family-owned, and sticking to what it does best. The liquor store next door sells lots of Coronas to Hut customers soaking up the sun on the makeshift parking-lot patio. There's no chance of satisfying a late-night craving, though; it closes at 6 PM.
