Fodor's Review:

The Downtown L.A. Standard has a groovy lounge with pink sofas and DJs, as well as an all-white restaurant that looks like something out of 2001: A Space Odyssey. But it's the rooftop bar, with an amazing view of the city's illuminated skyscrapers, a heated swimming pool, and private, podlike water-bed tents, that's worth waiting in line to get into. And wait you probably will, especially on weekends and in summer. Friday and Saturday $20 cover charge after 7 PM.
