Westin Bonaventure Hotel & Suites

Fodor's Review:

In 1976 John Portman designed these five shimmering cylinders in the sky, with nary a 90-degree angle. Sheathed in mirrored glass, the now-dated building once looked like a science-fiction fantasy; this emblem of postmodern architecture has been featured countless TV shows and movies. Take a ride in the soaring glass elevator that carried Arnold Schwarzenegger in True Lies. For a truly panoramic view of L.A., be sure to have a meal in the Bona Vista Lounge on the 34th floor, which features floor-to-ceiling windows and rotates 360 degrees as you dine.

  • In-room: safe, refrigerator, Internet, Wi-Fi.
  • In-hotel: 17 restaurants, room service, bars, pool, gym, spa, laundry service, parking (paid), some pets allowed, no-smoking rooms.
  • Credit Cards: AE, D, DC, MC, V
