Catal Restaurant & Uva Bar
Catal Restaurant & Uva Bar Review
Famed chef Joachim Splichal of L.A.'s Patina empire and his pro culinary staff take a more relaxed approach at this bi-level Mediterranean spot—with tapas breaking into the finger-food territory. People-watch at the colorful, outdoor Uva (Spanish for "grape") bar on the ground level in the center of Downtown Disney's action, where there are specialty cocktails, craft beers, and more than 40 wines by the glass. Burgers here are crowd-pleasers, as are the diverse selection of appetizers from corn arepas with pickled onions to hummus. Upstairs, Catal's menu has tapas, a variety of flavorful paellas (lobster is worth the splurge), and charcuterie. Reserve a table for dinner on Catal's second floor outdoor terrace for an awesome view of the Disneyland fireworks.
