Fodor's Review

At the Anaheim Convention Center, this hotel's Spanish Mission–style exterior and leafy landscaping set it apart from other budget properties. The suites are spacious, with hardwood floors, granite bathrooms, and sleeper sofas. Interior rooms are quieter are a long walk across the sprawling property. Relax at the adults-only quiet pool, or soak in the outdoor hot tub. The roller coasters of California Adventure are so close that screams drift over the hotel grounds.

We loved the Anabella.

Very comfortable beds, spacious room, nice bathroom, beautiful pool area. We had no problems with this hotel at all, and feel it is an excellent value.

Is the Hotel Giving Itself A 5?!?!?!

If you look at the ratings, you will notice that this hotel is consistently rated poorly - with the exception of when it is rated with all "5"s. Do you suspect the hotel is rating itself?? The only satisfactory portion of my stay was my brief visit in the hotel lobby - it is attractively decorated. The room, the bed, the plumbing, the noise - all bad!! Don't waste your money.

Only the hotel staff would rate this a 5!

Poorest quality mattress, no mattress pad, threadbare blanket, and scratchy sheets! The marble floor could not make up for the broken shower.. Who mans the restaurant? No one! You can't offer a big enough discount to get me to eat there again. Hotel reservation did not have web reservations entered into computer. Non-smoking room had been smoked in- no non-smoking signs in place anywhere.

Cheap but not Cheerful

I could give a long list of problems but I will confine myself by saying that like the other reviewer we we early and "the room was not ready".This seemed to be a persistent problem because we were tuned away, not upgraded, and found that when we returned it was still not ready. We were told to go to Disney for a few hours.By this time it was 4:30pm and my wife and children were tired after many hours of travel. We insisted on a room and got a very

gloomy chamber which either had tap dancing elephants located above us or no sound insulation. Needless to say the next day the room was not sereviced by the maid requiring hours of telephone calls to get the room made up. We comforted ourselves on the bargain price we had paid but the cost in agravation was not worth it
