Fodor's Expert Review JiRaffe
Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.
This two-story California bistro with ceiling-high windows and polished dark-wood accents is as handsome as the menu is tasteful. Chef-owner Raphael Lunetta, also an accomplished surfer, turns out such seasonal appetizers as a delicately roasted tomato tart or a beet salad with caramelized walnuts and dried cherries. Main dishes include a truly memorable corriander crusted yellowfin tuna with baby bok choy, and an oven-dried ravioli with lemon basil and garlic croutons. Enjoy the playful chocolate chip ice cream sandwich or Meyer lemon souffle for a sweet ending.
