Fodor's Review

Inside a former Brooks Brother's store, this lively Italian restaurant and gourmet market sits high atop the list of downtown culinary darlings. Vast open spaces, stark white walls, and windows that stretch from floor to ceiling lend it a grand and majestic aura. Stylish servers weave in and out of the dining room carrying bowls of pasta, trays of thin-crust pizzas, and entrées that range from shrimp scampi to a hearty New York strip steak. For a lighter meal, simply order from the small-plates menu, which might include crab beignets, burrata and roasted vine tomatoes, and asparagus with a poached egg. Don't let the crowd waiting for a table deter you: order a glass of Prosecco from the bar and nibble on a brightly colored macaron while you ogle the beautiful Angelenos in attendance.
