Lassen Volcanic National Park Sights

Bumpass Hell

  • Geological Site

Fodor's Review

This site's quirky name came about when a man with the last name of Bumpass was severely burned after falling into the boiling springs. A scenic but strenuous 3-mile round-trip hike brings you close to hot springs, hissing steam vents, and roiling mudpots.
